Terra Firma Solutions, Inc. has provided various services in the aviation sector of government contracting along with commercial customers as well. In the past, we have provided The Department of Energy (DOE) Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program by executing vertical profiles of aerosol and carbon cycle gasses over the SGP ACRF using a single-engine aircraft. The goal of this contract was to measure and improve the understanding of: (a) the carbon exchange of the ARM region; (b) how coupled CO2, water, and energy fluxes influence radiative forcing, convective processes, and CO2 concentrations regionally, and (c) how GHG concentration patterns are communicated on continental scales. Our pilot flew over 3,500 hours during this contract without any safety infractions.
